This game did NOT go as expected at all! overall well made and the sound design is perfect along with the animations! looking forward to more!

Been rewatching Markiplier's three scary games episodes and seeing this game for the second time, I have the same question I had the first time I watched it so I decided to ask here. I don't know why but I was thinking about the upstairs neighbor who was listening to loud music. Did he survive? The studying girl was moving away at the end but I wondered if that guy made it out too. Hopefully he was able to move away as well.

NEXTDOOR - Your Neighbor Is A Tall Scary Woman In This Junji Ito Horror Game
(+3)

Man, I sure love peeking trough a hole again after seeing someone unscrew their hands and noticing me. Definitely a good idea. But leaving that aside, it was a great game.

7.3/10 - A solid adaptation of a Junji Ito work, (10-15 mins). I thought the artstyle and character stills were amazing, in combination with the attention to detail. The creator of this game did a great job of putting you into a feeling of curiosity and feeling that something is wrong. Although I didn't find this scary but slightly creepy, I thought that a 3D version of this game would actually make this game even scarier and more unnerving. The characters were written well and I enjoyed the contrast of the characters that you come across.

My biggest complaints about this game were that, the sound was a bit weird/glitchy in the game and the ending was cut too short and should've been expanded on.

But overall this was a fun experience and a great tribute to Junji Itos work, so I'm excited to see more from you!

Ahoy, the game is actually pretty well made! Sadly is really short tho. Loved the animations and the small details such as lighting, sound desing and ambient immersion

So well done, really impressive. This is one of the only stories by Ito that I don't really revisit, because it just terrifies me, and this gave me a very similar feeling. Would love to see more Ito adaptations, or an original, longer game from you in a similar style.

This HAS TO BE one of the best adaptations of Ito's works !! It gave me the chills, it's so so so well done, kudos !!

Hello Broelbrak, I'm part of a community called PortMaster. It is a non-commercial project with aim of porting games to multiple handheld Linux devices running custom versions of Linux. I love Junji Ito's work and this game captures unnerving feel of his style. I would like to ask if you would allow us to distribute the game files. Otherwise gamers would have to download the game on itch.io and add the file manually (they either don't know how or don't have PC). I look forward to hearing back from you, if you are interested in PortMaster, here is a link: https://portmaster.games/

Thank You for making this great game!

(+2)

played this on stream it was super good! do you have any plans to continue to make more junji ito based games??

Hey glad you liked it!

Sadly we are probably not doing another Junji Ito game. Because they take a long time to make and we can't make any money off it because we don't own the rights.

I would love to do something with Uzumaki (which is my personal favorite) but I don't see it happening in the near future (or at all).

At the moment I want to focus on my own original work :D

(+2)
magnificent work!!!!,please make a sequel
(+2)

Amazing job capturing the unnerving feel of ito's work, I've thought for years that they would make amazing horror games & you proved me right

Keep up the great work👍

If you're going to spy on a woman while she screws her arm it's your own fault if she tries to touch you smh.

Short yet impactful. The art, sound, and plot have all come together and created a chilling atmosphere.
