What a brilliant and captivating game. I throughly enjoyed playing this. The imagery is beautiful. The dialogue is splendid. And the audio is great. It would be great to see a longer version of this game. I’ve included your game as part of my compilation… yours is the first one.

The art style, sound design, and overall creepy atmosphere make this one of the best short horror games I've played on Itch.io. I've never heard of Junji Ito but now, I will be looking him up. I am blown away and my one criticism is that it's too short. You guys have talent! I look forward to any future projects you all may have! Thank you for your work!

The only technical issue I see is with the layer switching.
The staircase right after the begining, for exemple, always place the character object on the layer of the staircase upon reaching it.
This makes it so if the left arrow is pressed, the player will always go up and not back the way it came. That is unless the player goes up a few stairs, go back down and then go left.
Instead of an instant switch on entering a trigger, an UP/DOWN input would solve the issue gracefully while adding just a bit of depth regarding the interaction of the player with the game world.
The game was simply amazing! I really liked how the story progressed and the interactions between the characters were really good and hilarious at the same time. The art style was amazing as well. Overall if you want a short, enjoyable horror experience, look no further!
